Created by Venice Beach resident Jean Kim, the bunny was named after Abbot Kinney
(b. 1850), the founder of Venice Beach. Like Mr. Abbot Kinney, he is a world traveler,
a conservationist and of course, a local of Venice Beach.
“Since I was a kid, I've had a habit of rhyming everything. My habit soon turned ‘Abbot’ into ‘Rabbit.’ I had to bring the little guy to life!"
Rabbit Kinney is primarily depicted on sustainable apparel, reflecting the history, lifestyle and various activities of our beach communities. He is hopping into the hearts of everyone from Venice Beach and beyond!
