RABBIT KINNEY: BORN TO HOP!
Created by Venice Beach resident Jean Kim, the bunny was named after Abbot Kinney
(b. 1850), the founder of Venice Beach. Like Mr. Abbot Kinney, he is a world traveler,
a conservationist and of course, a local of Venice Beach.
“I walk Abbot Kinney Boulevard every day on my way to the coffee shop or the beach.
And since I was a kid, I've had this habit of rhyming everything. My habit soon turned ‘Abbot’ into ‘Rabbit.’ I had to bring the little guy to life!"
Rabbit Kinney is depicted mostly on eco-friendly apparel, reflecting the history, lifestyle and various activities of our beach communities. He is hopping into the hearts of everyone from Venice Beach and beyond!
